Why oh why didnt I just take the whole week off?!
The 4th of July was great. Grantsville has some good traditions for the holidays. We started the day out with a parade (way below par this year with all the political campaigning going on) then ended up at the little carnival up at the park. The kids got their faces painted, did the whole "fishing"deal , and tried their luck with the ring toss.
Then we ended up getting together with the family for a nice bbq and, of course, fireworks. Overall, aside from the rainstorm in the afternoon, it was a great day. Too bad it was precluded by two more work days for me.
